Today it the day I learned that you have passed away. Amy, you were an inspiration to many on Recipezaar. Your passion for cooking was contagious and your knowledge which you shared so freely has made a difference in countless homes around the world.
I pray that your family will get through this difficult time. Know that she was loved by many, respected by all and will always be an inspiration to us. God bless and keep you.

I hesitate to post such a long poem but this one has helped me through many a dark hour...
Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by the morning dew,
Shedding it's sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevice's length
And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing it's fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive--
The rose still grows beyond the wall,
Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will forevermore.

Amy was a precious soul and a wonderful young lady.
You will be dearly missed Amy. My deepest sympathy to Your Family and Friends.
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly.
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone,
for part of us went with you
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories.
Your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one,
the Chain will link again

A poem for Amy's family.............it helped me in the past:
DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND
WEEP
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumns rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
for I am not there,
I did not die.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
Amy, you wise Redneck Epicurean, we know you are happy and healthy where you are now. I

I wasn't familiar with Amy, but ran across one of her recipes today and saw the comments that were honoring her and talking of how much she would be missed.
I know I'm really late on this thread, but I just had to share.
